Quick edits

Thirty seconds of trim without a timeline

Trim, reorder, swap a scene and change the ending card — on the rendered cut, in the browser.

Planned

Not built. Quick edits re-cut an existing render; they do not re-run the model.

The first cut is rarely the one you publish. Quick edits are the small corrections that should not cost a full render: drop a scene, hold another, swap the order, change the end card.

How it is meant to work

01

Re-cut, not re-generate

Trimming and reordering operate on already-rendered segments. That keeps the cost at encoding time instead of model time, and the look of every scene stays identical.

02

One scene, replaced

Regenerating a single scene is a scoped job with its own cost line. The rest of the film is untouched, and the previous version stays in the project record.

03

Version history that means something

Each render is a version with the scene plan, options and model version attached. You can tell which cut a client actually approved.

Questions

Does reordering change the music?

The soundtrack is re-timed to the new cut. Beat-matched scoring across a reorder is planned; handpicked tracks per project are the fallback.
